General Terms & Conditions of Wein-Werkstatt GmbH
These General Terms & Conditions shall apply to any offering of Wein-Werkstatt GmbH.
Please register for our events via phone, fax, email or through our website. Registrations are always binding for participants.
Postponement or cancellation
The participant can postpone participation in a workshop free of charge until 10 working days prior to the event. For later cancellations, we will always charge the full registration fee. An exception from this rule are WSET workshops (Levels 2 and 3) where the minimum period for postponement or cancellation is one month prior to the event. Please note that we require a written (email) notification in the event of a postponement or cancellation.
Differing rules may apply to certain workshops. These are listed in the description of the respective workshop.
WSET Levels 2 and 3 exams can only be postponed or cancelled up to 15 working days prior to the event. For later postponements or cancellations, WSET charges a contribution fee, which we will have to pass on to candidates at CHF 100/candidate. In the event of postponements or cancellations less than five working days before the exam, the full fee is charged.
Timely postponements or cancellations shall be credited to you for a later booking. Individual days of booked courses cannot be postponed in any case.
Paid course fees will under no circumstances be reimbursed.
Your registration is binding; you are therefore obliged to pay the course fee. Failure to pay the course fee shall not be considered as a cancellation.
Course fees are due within ten days after receipt of the invoice. Fees can be charged to your credit card in our web shop. No course material shall be dispatched before setting of the course fee.
In the event of a registration less than 15 days prior to the start of the course, the course fee is due immediately.
Cancellation of seminars and workshops
Wein-Werkstatt GmbH shall be entitled to cancel the contract if the minimum number of participants determined for the type of event is not reached, or due to illness of the trainer or technical reasons.
Before exercising the right to cancellation, Wein-Werkstatt GmbH shall try to rebook registered participants to another event date and/or venue, whenever possible and provided that the customer consents to the rebooking. Registered participants shall be informed about any changes immediately. In the event that Wein-Werkstatt GmbH cancels the contract, previously paid fees shall be refunded in full. Further claims shall be excluded.
Special conditions for trips
When you book a trip, Wein-Werkstatt GmbH will invoice you for a down payment of 30% of total costs. The remaining amount is due 30 days prior to the start of the trip.
In the event of a customer cancellation, the following conditions shall apply:
> 60 days refund of the down payment less CHF 250 per person
up to 30 days 50% of the trip price, down payment shall be withheld
< 30 days 100% of the trip price
We recommend you take out adequate insurance cover for cancellation and special return travel costs to protect yourself in the event you need to cancel. Sufficient foreign travel health insurance coverage is the full responsibility of the participant.
Wein-Werkstatt GmbH shall be entitled to cancel the travel contract up to 30 days (Europe) and 60 days (oversees) respectively prior to the trip. In such an event, the full amount paid shall be refunded. Further claims shall be excluded.
For events offered by Wein-Werkstatt GmbH, any liability in regard to bodily injury, damages, loss or theft of personal belongings or vehicles shall be excluded. Participants shall be liable for any damage to the property of Wein-Werkstatt GmbH or third parties they may have caused in connection with participating in the event. Participants shall take part in the event at their own risk.
The protection of your privacy is a matter of importance to us. You can visit our website without entering any personal data, such as your name, address, phone number or email address.
However, your personal data is required for the processing of bookings and orders. Wein-Werkstatt GmbH uses submitted information only for the stated purpose. Your personal data is not sold, leased, exchanged or provided to third parties in any form.
With your registration you agree to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes of Wein-Werkstatt GmbH.
You have the right to cancel receipt of our marketing material at any time in oral or written form.
Applicable law, court of jurisdiction
All contracts concluded between a customer and Wein-Werkstatt GmbH shall exclusively be subject to Swiss law. The application of the CISG (United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods) of 11 April 1980 shall hereby be explicitly excluded.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes directly or indirectly resulting from the contractual relationship between the customer and Wein-Werkstatt GmbH shall be the court competent for our company’s address of record in Cham, Canton Zug, Switzerland.
Wein-Werkstatt GmbH expressly reserves the right to change the program, prices and General Terms & Conditions.
